That may be one of the reasons why he does not care about killing them he finds no value in the lives of “ordinary” people. He believes, like Sherlock, that he is above everyone else, and also considers, unlike Sherlock, normal people to be completely undeserving of any and all consideration. He seems to find either indifference or joy in others pain (he is most likely a sadist), and he is also extremely narcissistic. It seems that the only thing he cares about is indulging himself, and in carefully constructing a satisfying self image of himself. When it comes to morality, he displays pure apathy. He is intelligent enough to know the consequences of his actions and the fact that his actions are wrong, however, he does not care. Moriarty appears to see no point in exercising self-control or following morals. However, the difference between the two is that Sherlock copes with his boredom in ways that benefit others, whereas Jim Moriarty copes with his boredom in ways that are destructive to not only others, but himself. They share the same personality type (INTJ), and a lot of the same positive and negative traits. Notes: Jim Moriarty is psychologically similar to Sherlock in many ways.
